The epic novel
I disagree with many people, when I say that most bloggers are not writers. I am definitely not a writer. I'm a blogger, and of the least intersting type: I write a "Me Blog", about nothing in particular, just my life. Not a political, gastro or running blog. It's just about me.I have two novel ideas that I have been cherishing for quite a while. I started one, and never got far with it: I lack the actualy writing talent tand perseverence toactually finish it. It would be a very nice contemporary story, though. The other one... I have the first and last sentences for it, and I have the title. I just need to write that cca 1200 pages that would go between those two sen
Update
I was quiet, because I didn't want to replace the Shema on top with just general whining. This week is not going too well.Justin has conjuctivitis. Again. This is the third time since school started in September. It seems that since we moved here at least one of the kids comes down with it every month. I had an ophtamologist family member look at his eyes. By the way, what is my half brother's half sister's husband to me? He says it is now definitely and infection, and he is not happy to hear that he just got over an "irritation" one. I'm not happy, either. Then Matthew hurt his ankle at dance class. It is now in a splint and since it will take a few weeks
Hear O Israel
Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might.

But his teachers and his parents (all three of us) agreed that we had to address some issues.Matthew and Justin were preemies, Justin was the smaller one. He also suffered a stroke shortly after birth that resulted in some mild CP and he has an unrelated hearing loss, which was corrected with aids from 4 months of age and surgically at 2 and 3 years of age. He received services at the Pető Institute and conductors in region (
The Christmas dilemma
As you all know, we don't celebrate Christmas, but both Kevin and I have family, who do. There is the whole Catholic O'Brien clan, and Kevin's huge Mormon family. So we cannot completely ignore Christmas - even if some of our families disrespect our religion - and, to be honest, we don't want to.Yet, I am not 100% sure how to approach it this year. Due to the scandal two Christmases ago my family refuses to take part in the O'Brien gift swap, and to be honest, there are just way too many relatives out there to gift everyone. Sending an e-card seems impersonal and cheap. I am thinking about handmade cards, but I have no idea when we will have time
