- Thanksgiving is a holiday that many in the US celebrate. It is a time to give thanks, to harvest, to celebrate and express gratitude. I am blessed in so many ways in this life. I have my health and the security of a warm, dry place to sleep every night. My family is dear and loving and so supportive. My friends are wonderful and caring and make me laugh. My sweet, devoted rescue pets bring me joys every day ... I know they are grateful for the second chance that my home provides. My partner provides love and attention, and he puts a smile on my face.
