Tell Iran to Stop Executions for Sodomy Charges
The International Gay and Lesbian Human Rights Commission (IGLHRC) has posted an action alert requesting that individuals write in to Iranian authorities, and foreign diplomats with Iranian influence, to request the execution of both minors and adults be stopped for Iranians convected of sodomy.
In Iran, the legal definition of sodomy includes sex between two individuals of the same gender, and is punishable by death. Recently, there have been as many as eight teenage youth convicted of sodomy, all of which have received the death sentence.
