NUSD Community Budget Meetings Set
The Natomas Unified School District officials will hold two community forums as part of a multi-year Budget Recovery Plan slated for approval on Jan. 27, 2010:Saturday, Dec. 12, 10 a.m. to noon, Natomas High School theater, 3301 Fong Ranch RoadWednesday, Dec. 16, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Inderkum High School theater, 2500 New Market DriveForums will review budget cuts already made and options to makes additional cuts of $3.2 million in 2010-11, $11.7 million in 2011-12, and $21.7 in 2012-13.

City To Award Fire Station Design-Build Contract
The Sacramento City Council has on its agenda this week an item that will move plans for a new North Natomas fire station one step closer to completion.Among the council's "consent" items is a resolution that would authorize a design-build contract with Unger Construction, Inc. for the North Natomas Fire Station No. 43 project, not to exceed $5.3 million. The project budget includes all design services, administration, fees, permits, construction, furniture fixtures and all equipment necessary to provide a fully functional and operating facility.
