My blog's aim is to share my knowledge and insights gathered during nearly four decades of involvement in water & waste issues in San Jose & Silicon Valley. Beginning in graduate school at San Jose State University, the challenge has been to build a sustainable engineered system on the delicate ecosystem of San Francisco Bay in order to sustain this mega-population. This process involves learning and linking every aspect of science and politics imaginable. While this seems like an endless task, this journey should be documented and shared with anyone needing to know this history in order to move forward with the full knowledge of how we got where we are today.
