Rodgers’ 3 TD’s Help Packers Declaw Lions 34-12
Thanksgiving Day seems to treat the Detroit Lions like redheaded stepchildren. Perhaps the Lions playing on the last Thursday of every November is a punishment for being perennially one of the worst teams in the NFL; I honestly don’t know. Thursday pitted the Green Bay Packers as they visited Ford Field to take on the Lions; and truth be told, this game wasn’t too much doifferent than previous games involving the Lions. Aaron Rodgers threw for 3 touchdowns
Bills Rushing Attack Stuck in the Mud
This season, Buffalo seemed poised to unleash two hard-nosed, dependable running backs to help carry the load on offense. Marshawn Lynch and Fred Jackson were ready to have their names included in the discussion among the best running back duos in football. Unfortunately, this season, due to a number of factors (quarterback play, offensive line are the 2 biggest factors to come to mind), the Bills rushing attack has yet to make any noise. Then New England lost to Indianapolis, and suddenly the Bengals owned the second seed in the AFC playoff race. Though still early, it meant a first round bye, and home field advantage in the AFC semi-finals. At 7-2, the upcoming schedule looked inviting. At Oakland, then home bouts with Cleveland and Detroi
Steelers QB Roethlisberger Practices Despite Concussion
The Steelers got good news today, as Ben Roethlisberger had a full practice session, and reports are he’ll go Sunday in Baltimore despite sustaining a concussion against Kansas City. While Roethlisberger went through a usual Wednesday practice, second-year quarterback Dennis Dixon took more snaps than usual. Dixon moved up the depth chart when backup Charlie Batch broke his left wrist during the 27-24 loss Sunday. The Steelers added a third quarterback by sign
Buccaneers Put QB Byron Leftwich on IR
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will be without the services of quarterback Byron Leftwich as he was placed on injured reserve Tuesday because of a right arm injury; in addition, the team released cornerback Mike Mickens while signing rookie QB Rudy Carpenter from the Dallas Cowboys’ practice squad and wide receiver Terrence Nunn from the New England Patriots’ practice squad. Leftwich had st
