Budaj not getting playing time
Update: The Denver Post is reporting that Avalanche goaltender Peter Budaj does not seem likely to get much playing time this season.  Starter Craig Anderson has not been playing his best hockey, but for some reason Budaj has not been given a chance to claim the starting gig.  Fantasy Impact:  Budaj has only started two games this season. He has a 1-1-0 record with an .855 save percentage and a 4.29 GAA. 

B's to lock up Savard
Update: The Boston Globe is reporting that the Bruins are close to locking up forward Marc Savard to a contract extension.  The deal is reportedly a seven year deal that will begin in 2010-11 and will be somewhere in the realm of $4.5 to $5 millon per season.   Fantasy Impact:  Teams are getting creative on how they structure deals, and it is believed that Savard would earn at least 90% of this deal's worth in the first five years.   

Brees and Saints Offense Dominate the Pats
Update:  New Orleans Saints QB Drew Brees becomes onlt the third QB ever to have a perfect QB rating of 158.3 on MNF.  Brees threw for 5tds and 371 yards on 18/23 passing in a 38-17 thrashing of the New England Patriots. Fantasy Impact:  Brees was a fantasy stud yesterday putting up numbers that could carry your fantasy team to vicotry.  His counterpart Patriots QB Tom Brady struggled against the Saints defense throwing 2 picks 0tds.

Flacco Injury Minor
Update: Mike Duffy of Baltimoreravens.com reports that Ravens QB Joe Flacco's ankle injury from week 12 is not serious. Fantasy Impact: Flacco re-rolled his ankle in the second quarter, had it wrapped and finished the game, he has been dealing with ankle problems for weeks and it shouldn't affect him anymore than before.

Chambers Scores Against Former Club
Update: Kansas City Chiefs WR Chris Chambers hauled in a TD pass to go with 70 yards in his teams loss to San Diego, his former club on Sunday. Fantasy Impact: After just 3 games with The Chiefs Chambers is 2nd on the teams in receiving and is making a definite fight for #1 WR even when Dwayne Bowe comes back.
