Nothing thrilled Avery more than delivering unexpected news. Good or bad, it didn’t matter. After he announced that Julia wanted us to kill her husband, the shocked look on my face surely made Avery’s day and he walked away with a spring in his step. I just couldn’t believe it. My Julia? I shut the door and grabbed a beer. “Any minute now I’m hoping to wake up and find this past month has been a fucking nightmare!” Bozack yelped in agreement. I wanted to shake the shit out of Julia.
