The Stonewall Oregon blog is paid for by the Democratic Party of Oregon, and is not sponsored by any candidate or candidate’s committee.
The GLBT Caucus of the Democratic Party of Oregon was organized in 2005 to represent the interests of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender Oregonians within the Democratic Party of Oregon, and among elected members of our party.
Since 2005, we have grown to over 1500 members and non-member contacts statewide, including many local activists and elected members of Oregon’s government. We work alongside organizations such as Basic Rights Oregon, National Stonewall Democrats, the Human Rights Campaign, and the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force to ensure basic fairness for all Oregonians.
Our work is led by our Executive Committee, which is comprised of our elected officers and representatives from county and regional LGBT Democratic organizations.
We rely on the commitment of every Oregon Democrat to ensure basic fairness for all. |

I’ve been a strong champion of civil rights and protections based on sexual orientation since I chaired the first legislative hearing on anti-discrimination
