Part of Portland’s “Keep Portland Weird” slogan seems to be the “Art Car.” These are normal, every day vehicles that have been modified, painted, glued, glittered, and weighed down with what is quite frequently perceived as random junk in the name of art. The “Umbrella Man” Statue
This statue is called “Allow Me” and was created by J. Seward Johnson. It sits in Pioneer Square near the Max station. Locals simply call it the “Umbrella Man.” As in, “Meet me at 6 by the Umbrella Man.” It apparently has siblings though, one in Philadelphia on Broad and 15th, and another somewhere in New England with an yet to be determined location.

Abandoned
From the same trailer park. People just up and left. Trailers were left full of trash and personal belongings. The bulldozers came along and plowed it all down before it was loaded up and carted away to the dump.

Abandoned Mailboxes
Part of a tour of a trailer park that had been abandoned and torn down to make way for condos. Unfortunately, the Condos never got built and the land is completely vacant.
