| Description: | We Need Your Donations and Prayers to Succeed Dear Friends, Through my trips to Peru this year, God confirmed my calling to ministry and evangelism in South America. He has been working to refine my ministry vision and has led me to become ordained, create this website and to become a tax exempt 501(c)(3) ministry. Through devine appointments, God opened the doors for me to do a segment on CBN for the "700 Club" that will air in the near future. This will give our ministry national exposure and create many new contacts to assist and support our ministry. God has blessed us in so many ways in a short amount of time, but now the real work must begin. I am returning to Peru on November 14th through December 13th to continue my ministry of finding and coordinating solutions to the massive problem of the abandoned women and children in Peru. There are details of this ministry on "The Faith Project" tab. This trip will actually give these these unfortunate and neglected people the ability to support themselves and their children by learning a trade to break their cycle of poverty. The money raised for this trip will go toward establishing The Faith Project, which will provide the materials and training to establish an on-going trade. We will also be coordinating the services of some Peruvian ministries and organizations that will train, supervise and pay the women so that their work can continue when we are not there. Any additional donations above the cost of this trip will go toward completing the school/orphanage, which will house and feed hundreds of orphans and abandoned children. It will also provide a location for these women to learn their trade and produce products which we will eventually be selling on this web site and through distributors in the U.S. Much of the work to be done on this trip can be done inexpensively once I am in Peru, but things move very slowly in Peru and it takes a great deal of time to get things accomplished. I will have to be there for four weeks to complete everything, but while I am there, I will be able to utilize contacts that I made on previous trips to assist me in providing Praise and Glory meetings and Street Ministry to bring Peruvians to Christ. I will also be assimilating information to assist me in raising funds when back in the States - taking pictures, and documenting the needs which I will present on my website and in my travels to churches across the U.S. I cannot accomplish this task alone, so I am asking for your prayers and financial assistance. We need $5,000 for this upcoming trip, and you may view the objectives and specific funding requirements below. Your tax-deductible support will be greatly appreciated. Faith Harriman Objectives / Funding Requirements for Peru trip November - December 2009 SELF-SUFFICIENCY FOR ABANDONED & IMPOVERISHED MOTHERS $1,200 • Fix the loom and possibly purchase additional ones • Purchase weaving supplies and other materials for sellable crafts • Fund / sponsor the women to get embroidery and weaving training • Create a process for efficient production of goods • Cover the legal requirements to ship the products to USA • Hire a manager to maintain sufficient supplies, oversee the production, pay the women, package and ship the products • Lead a team that can assist and will adopt this assignment in the ways the Lord will lead SCHOOL / ORPHANAGE $200 plus $20,000 • $20,000 to complete and furnish the school/orphanage building, including the trade floor for the mothers • Food for the mothers and children • Clothing, School supplies, hygiene products for the children MINISTRY $600 • Cash for mothers in immediate and dire need • The resources to have a Praise and Glory meetings to bring the women and children to Christ TRAVEL (one month) $3,000 • Airfare and transportation expenses for me and my daughter • Room and board for a month • Transportation within Peru for one month TOTAL REQUIRED $5,000 |
