Pea Ridge is the community out in rural Grenada County both sides of my family have been calling home for generations. We know the folks (most are cousins) and we know the land. Regardless of where I live and what I do I always have a place to return. Capote once said all Southerners return home sooner or later even if its in a wood box. Well, I hope to make it home before that. I live in Washington, DC. Its where I work and, to the chagrin of aunts, uncles and siblings, its where my wife and I raise two nearly perfect little boys. I work hard to share their Southern roots with them every chance I get. I reckon this blog is my desire to share those roots with everyone.
