Getting Ready for the Holidays!
So we've been laying low and preparing ourselves for the upcoming holiday. Lots of grocery shopping has been done and now the baking begins. I'm making two pumpkin pies, one pecan pie and our famous macaroni & cheese. I also made some Snickerdoodle's this morning which came out pretty good.The boys have been good. Our friend Kim took their Christmas pictures the other day at a local park so we're just waiting to get those. As soon as I do, I'll be sure to post them. Animal Kingdom
We took the boys to Animal Kingdom on Saturday along with my parents. It was their first trip to Disney and even though we didn't make it an all day trip, they had a good time. First stop was Rainforest Cafe for lunch which definitely gave them a lot to look at. I will say the noise level is a bit high for kids their age and they got a tad freaked out at times. But overall, they behaved well and ate their lunch without problems. After lunch, we just started walking toward the Africa section of the park so that they could see the gorillas and the other animals in that area. Boys in the Hood
The weather is finally feeling like it's supposed to this time of year so we took advantage of it and went for walk around the neighborhood. They even got to sport their new hooded jackets that Grandma Pierce picked up for them and they looked so adorable in them! I tried(unsuccessfully) to get a picture of the two them together, but inevitably they never look at the same time. Oh well, I still got some good shots. We're going to take them to Animal Kingdom on Saturday since the weather is supposed to still be nice. It will be their first trip to a Disney theme park so hopefully they'll enjoy themselves. Happy Halloween!
