“Will We Lose Ben for the Season?”
“Will We Lose Ben for the Season?” by Jeffrey Burton All right I lied last blog. I said I wouldn’t be bitching about our non-offensive line. Ben’s concussion changed all that and I know it was mostly his fault for going in head first, but he shouldn’t had to be running in the first place.  As our [...] Related posts:Steelers vs. Patriots, who will be the best this season?

The 6-3 Steelers, having lost both of their games against Cincinnati, are effectively a game and a half behind the 7-2 Bengals in the AFC North race. That means a victory is essential for Pittsburgh or the defending Super Bowl champions can set their sights on a wild-card playoff berth instead of a division championship. Clearly, the Bengals are in command of the division race and Pittsburgh is among the teams trying to keep pace. Related posts:Steelers – Bengals Preview
Bruce Arians….Special Alert!
Now there are three words I never thought would come out of me. The Chan Gailey watch is officially over. As a matter of fact, Chan who? Well it’s not only Arians it’s also Big Ben who I see as Co-Offensive Coordinator. They are using every trick in the book and some out of the book. The Muddle Huddle had the Broncos on their heals whenever it was deployed. The pass was used to set up the run. The Steelers now have four star receivers. Ward Star, Holmes Star, Wallace Star and Heath who is on pace for seventy plus catches this year, Super Nova. Related posts:
Pittsburgh Steelers path to the AFCN title
It has already begun. The naysayers are all over the Pittsburgh Steelers calling it the end of times, while the cinderella hoppers are predicting the Cincinati Bengals to soon rule the world. One sweep in 10 years and the Bengals are now the team to beat in the AFC. The problem is, they are the Bengals and there is still a bunch of football left to play. Question of the Week – Fire Arians?
When Arians does call a run play it is predictable or not set up for success from the start. What I mean by that is the lack of blockers on the field, mainly the lack of a fullback leading the way. Several of the Steelers run plays also consist of one key aspect that tips off the defense before they even snap the ball. That aspect is Hines Ward going into motion. Specifically when his motion stops right next to the tight end and he sets up a yard back. When I see that, I scream "It's a run" and I garuntee the defense does too. The problem is they use that play more often then not when running. Related posts:
