Description: Pleasing Pain exists to… Come alongside you and be a ‘fellow worker with you for your joy’ (2 Cor. 1:24) in Jesus above all things. In everything I write I aim to produce a certain kind of immovable joy in you, that stands no matter what your present circumstances may be. David Brainerd’s desire “for more of God” in his soul is not only my desire for myself, but it is my desire for you as well: “When I really enjoy God, I feel my desires of Him the more insatiable, and my thirstings after holiness the more unquenchable, O for holiness! O for more of God in my soul! O this pleasing pain, it makes my soul press after after God! O that I might not loiter on my heavenly journey!” I long for you to enjoy Jesus so much, that this insatiable desire for more of Him becomes your desire, no matter the cost. I write to that end.
