These words of Baxter's from The Reformed Pastor struck a chord with me, not just to and for ministers of the gospel, but to all private protestant Christians and particuarly those who are under the label of Reformed; as what was true in Baxter's day, in these words he wrote, is surely even truer in our own days: How long have we talked of reformation, how much have we said and done for it in general, and how deeply and devoutly have we vowed it for our own parts.
