After working exclusively with PowerShell in my career for over two years now, it has become quite clear to me that the single most valuable feature in Microsoft Windows PowerShell, in my opinion anyway, is its extensibility. In particular, it’s how easily it can be extended in PowerShell itself through a combination of PowerShell scripts and XML files, without the need of a compiler.
