My Thanksgivings: Work
No, I’m not talking about a job, although, for most families, a job is something they would love to be thankful for if they could get one. No, I’m talking about good, honest hard work, in every way.
The Scriptures are littered with verses and passages commanding us to work. Even before the Fall, God appointed Adam to work (Genesis 2:15). Proverbs 12:11 says, “Whoever works his land will have plenty of bread, but he who follows worthless pursuits lacks sense.” This applies particularly to us as women, especially those of us who stay at home according to the Lord’s calling. God doesn’t want us to sit around all day watching So
My Thanksgivings: My Mother
This started off as a comment on a post by Jasmine at Joyfully Home, but I just kept going on and on that I thought I’d make it a post of my own.
Her post was about girls who want to fulfill God’s plan for Biblical womanhood, but have grown up in a broken home. On the back of this photo is written the name “Laura Hurst.” Or at least I think it says “Hurst;” it looks like it could say “Haust” or “Haiyst” as well. I don’t presently know of anyone by any of the
NaNoWriMo … Yeah …
For the second year in a row, I have decided to stop doing NaNoWriMo. I just can’t continue with the novel I started and keep a clear conscience, and since I was handwriting it, I don’t have time to start a completely new one; I would be 12,000 words behind.
So anyway, until next year!
