Picture our families around the kitchen table and you will see a blend of the profound and the lighthearted, the weighty responsibility of raising children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord buoyed by the delightful laughter of our God-given offspring. How to describe the great privilege of educating our children, instilling both intellectual knowledge and a love for the Sovereign Creator of the universe? How to convey the unique ups and downs of being with your kids 24/7 and the deep commitment to our charges?
We thank our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for the grace He gives to uphold the seriousness of study and enjoy the playfulness of youth. Here, we can offer each other the support and encouragement to fight the good fight and finish the race in schooling and bringing up our blessings praying for Spirit-bred wisdom.
My prayer for you and your family is that your journey in homeschooling brings delight in both the profound and the commonplace.

If you are interested, I will pass along some of the names of psycho-educational evaluators once I get them.
In the meantime, here is a website called Woodbine House that was recommended. She had suggested looking at a
Very Cool Science Website
How people find the time to make these amazing resources and then offer them for FREE baffles me!
Here is another science website that has free curriculum – a parent guide and a student workbook – called E=mc2. The Classic Science looks very interesting as they deal with Life Science, Earth Science, Chemistry and Physical Science. You can download the entire curriculum or just unit by unit to check it out before using up all your ink!
Take advantage of all the freebies I have collected over the years that I’ve put on the sidebar. I have many more bu

Jotham’s Journey Giveaway
Since I’m stuck at home sick with the swine flu and pretty miserable…. I thought to add a bit of cheer by doing a giveaway!!
I heard that Jotham’s Journey is a wonderful book and haven’t read it yet with my kids, but I bought a few copies when they were on sale to giveaway!
Here is a description of it:
Kidnappers, Wise Men, Shepherds…
Jotham’s Journey is the story of a ten-year-old shepherd boy who, in a fit of anger, runs away from his fatherR
