Information

Blog Name: Radio Exile
Url: http://radioexile.com
Language: English
Topics: music, reviews, interviews
Description: We at Radio Exile realize that music is a self-healing medium; when the life seeps out of popular music, there is always a new sound to revitalize it. Radio Exile aims to inform independent thinkers what's "next" and what they can't live without. In the past, Radio Exile has not only interviewed Jeff Buckley's mother Mary Guibert, the Kaiser Chiefs and many emerging acts, but our efforts have culminated in back-to-back Top Ten finishes in the BT Digital Music Awards for Top Music Blog (9th place this year after a 6th place finish in 2007). Radio Exile focuses on finding music that is "off-the-radar" and underappreciated by mainstream music fans, connecting them with like-minded individuals eager to change the landscape of popular media.

Jason Molina is an old soul. Nearly a decade ago when he released his debut record, Songs: Ohia, it was quite clear that he had been around the block and like John Prine before him, Molina has a voice and songs with a depth, fragility, authority and tragedy that simply shouldn’t belong to someone so young. The trouble with this knowledge and gift: it comes at a price. To be able to write and sing with this much emotion, you have to survive the feelings first.

Circulatory System - Signal Morning Review
There, deep in the nether regions of space, a small crack forms in the absolute blackness of nothing, before quickly bursting into a circular tear that burns through space like film celluloid. This tear is quickly followed by a glass-like shattering of the cosmos and the space-time continuum itself rips apart. A gaping hole is formed. Through this hole, in rhythmic time, come a thousand billion footsteps as the armies of Satan march in formation.
