Description: We at Radio Exile realize that music is a self-healing medium; when the life seeps out of popular music, there is always a new sound to revitalize it. Radio Exile aims to inform independent thinkers what's "next" and what they can't live without. In the past, Radio Exile has not only interviewed Jeff Buckley's mother Mary Guibert, the Kaiser Chiefs and many emerging acts, but our efforts have culminated in back-to-back Top Ten finishes in the BT Digital Music Awards for Top Music Blog (9th place this year after a 6th place finish in 2007). Radio Exile focuses on finding music that is "off-the-radar" and underappreciated by mainstream music fans, connecting them with like-minded individuals eager to change the landscape of popular media.

Go Stuff Yourself – The Thanksgiving Mixtape
Everyone seems to talk to about Thanksgiving as if it is their favorite holiday. It makes sense: when it all boils down, no one loves gluttony more than an American. We can justify spending money on food (over presents), knowing that we will partake in shoveling these tasty purchases through our personal pie holes. More mashed potatoes, please! I’m cool with it. Jimmy even showed off the box set (it’s over 25 lbs.) to start both performances. Come check o
Video Hook-Up: The Muppets – “Bohemian Rhapsody”
If you come to the site for serious, hard-hitting journalism: sorry. Lately, I have been having more fun posting about funny videos that feature music and where my sense of humor and my love of indie rock and pop intersect. As a child, I was a HUGE fan of the Muppets and a few years back when I was temping here in NYC, I worked with a girl who left the agency I was at to go to Jim Henson Studios full time. I wasn’t jealous a
Neil Young Covers “Fresh Prince” Theme
Jimmy Fallon went to the same college as my sister (College of St. Rose in Albany, NY). I wanted to really like his show because of that, but he’s just never been really super, super funny to me. Here, though, he hits this impression of Neil Young SPOT-ON and creates a cute moment that I wouldn’t have seen if not tipped off by The Dail
The ColourSound – Reclaim Review
Four years ago, AMC and BBC America took a selection of songs from a little-known band and used them heavily throughout a strong summer campaign to tout their programming. The band, The ColourSound [MySpace], sounded more English than a Thomas’ English Muffin commercial and, as it just so happened, created really good Brit-pop/rock. Actually, their sou
