| Description: | The poems, writings, and drawings here reflect the battle of the mundane. Lack of economic power and the struggle with social interactions along with issues of class structure and walls run throughout my work. I have been in a constant battle about what upward trajectory to a "better social standing" means to me and others and if it matters. I have strong concerns for the marginalized; those that think they must mask their identities to "fit in" and those that don't wear the mask and aren't understood. I write from a variety of view points and characters but with an overall framework of trying to understand aspects of culture and society that many try to ignore. There is also a strong interest in working class issues related to academia and the arts. |
