Mini German Pancakes
Here's a fun breakfast you can make this weekend.  My family love German Pancakes (at our house they are called Hootenannies).  So when I saw the idea of making mini ones at a site called Gimme Some Oven I had to try them. Her recipe is basically the same as the one I make in my 9 x 13 pan, but you add the butter to the batter instead of the pan.  She also adds vanilla and orange zest.  I add
Caramelized Apple Waffle Pastries
Here is an easy, elegant, and yummy dessert.  I adapted it slightly from Recipe Girl.  Love her!  This dessert would be excellent anytime, but would also be a great dessert for Thanksgiving that you could serve in place of apple pie.  You can also serve it with ice cream instead of whipped cream if you'd prefer.  I think a scoop of cinnamon ice cream would be yummy!  The only down side I had 
Santa Fe Lime Rice
I recently have been on the hunt for a couple of good yet simple Mexican rice recipes.  I've been looking for a good regular Mexican rice for a while, and recently wanted to also find a cilantro lime recipe.  I found this simple recipe from a cookbook called The Food Nanny Rescues Dinner by Liz Edmunds. I have shared a recipe previously from the Food Nanny.  It was the tuna noodle casserole. 
Flatbread Tacos
So this is what I made with the flatbread recipe from yesterday.  I adapted the recipe from one I found in a recent issue of  Taste of Home.  The whole family loved these!  The nice thing about the flatbread is it is thicker and more durable than a tortilla, so you can really load them with filling.  The flatbread would also make a great base to build a navajo taco on and much healthier than a
