Is it acceptable to ask for money as a gift?
With this economic slump, it seems far more acceptable, even preferred to get money as gifts. Some couples are even asking guests to help pay for the wedding. When I got married 9 years ago, I publicized the fact that gifts of money were accepted. It saves the hassle of guests having to shop or having to select a gift from a registry list. It did not eliminate us getting ‘re-gifts’ that we ended up donating so that no other bride or groom would have to suffer from receiving it as a gift again! If brides and grooms can have wedding registries with a list of gifts for wedding guests to select from, why not have a list of ‘donations’? If guests have the option to go to a
Can You Fall in Love Again?
D from Des Moines asks: Can you fall in love again?
=======================================
I’m 47 and am married to my wonderful wife of 24
years. It’s been a time I would never trade for
anything. There’s just one thing missing–feeling the
love that we used to have. We get along, we’re great
companions, and we love our children who are now moved
out of the house (fortunately, they visit regularly).
We have a great life by any measure except that we
just don’t feel the spark or have a strong love for
each other. We feel comfortable–and there’s certainly

Each person has their own opinion so there is no doubt that sometimes arguments will happen. And, every couple experiences disagreements.
Disagreements and arguing is not the issue. When the arguing is unresolved, then the issues get escalated resulting in relationship problems.
I say that some arguing or disagreement is healthy in all relationships. Agreeing all the time is BORING. Your individuality is expressed through your unique opinion and arguing is simply a way to show your individuality while attempting to find commonality. Arguing occurs because you are not feeling heard.
Trust and Be Trust-able – Step 2 to Succeed in Relationships
Give your trust to another person and they will trust you. As soon as you are distrusting, you will find others distrust you.
When we are born, we trust our mother and/or father. We really have no other option other than to trust until given profound reason not to trust. And as children we reestablish trust again very quickly. We trust that we will breathe, until we have an allergic reaction to something and cannot. We trust that our fingers will move, until we experience not being able to. In all these cases, our trust is quickly restored as soon as healing occurs.
I have heard people say that Trust is Earned. Believe me this is not the case. If trust is earned, and
Want A Closer Love Relationship And Marriage?
Saving a marriage can entail a lot of work on communication and other personal skills. It may not seem worth it, as divorce can seem like the only way out. But if you need to think about more than just yourself and you will find that saving your marriage will become one of the most important discussions you and your spouse will ever have.
Sometimes we aren’t aware of the blocks that prevent us from being happy and fe
