So I am reading the book year of the angler, its really well written and there are some great points brought up in this book. So it got me to thinking about the secret spot phenomenon in fly fishing and how crazy its. There are many blogs and websites and even fly shops that are very guarding about giving out information, but why? The more info that is out there the more people will fish. As it was stated in this book by publicizing fishing spots more it shows management groups that there is a lot of interest fishing which in tern leads to more protection and special regulation for fishing areas, which will lead to better fisheries.
