The month of October represents many things in our society. For most, it represents fall weather, midterms, and the most popular, Halloween. October is also Domestic Violence Awareness Month. It started as a single day in October of 1981 where advocates across the nation were connected and held special activities to spread the awareness on violence against women and children. Soon it caught on as Domestic Violence Week and then finally in October of 1987, it became Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Destination Nowhere
Can we increase our potential as human beings if we lack the resources that would bring us together? We are like dead men walking, the energy has been taken out of us. Looking ahead there is a small light at the end of a tunnel. But the more we walk into it, it seems like the light stays at the same distance. There are many of us walking without a destination. Is this what the Israeli's did while walking for 40 days and 40 nights in search for the promised land? I am beginning to wonder, are we going to spend all our lives searching for peace and happiness? Will we ever get closer to the destination at the end of the tunnel or walking forever in darkness? Qu
