Als einzige Enttäuschung bewertet der WWF den Ausgang der einwöchigen Sitzung der Kommission zum Schutz des Atlantischen Tunfischs (ICCAT) in Recife, Brasilien. Die Teilnehmer gingen auseinander, ohne die notwendigen Maßnahmen zum Schutz des stark bedrohten Roten Tunfisch zu verabschieden.
