| Description: | Since coming to Christ on October 28, 1990, I have been intrigued with the verse of Scripture found in the Book of Jeremiah: more specifically a word contained within. It has and continues to encourage and help me understand my Father in heaven. When teaching others about this word, they have more fully understood the Father and His desire for His people. The absence of this word in the Bible would hide yet another mystery about God and make Him harder to understand. The verse is Jeremiah 31:3: “I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore I have drawn you with my lovingkindness.” Jeremiah 31:3 (NASB) The word is hesed, a word that best describes God and the love He has and shows continually toward His people. It is a miraculous word, and a word that defines the love humankind is looking for, albeit in all the wrong places. |
