When deer attack
OK, this newscast made me laugh really, really, really hard. It has everything! Horror! Drama! Worried moms! Wording like “The horn-like antlers.” The beast being called “ugly” and “The Devil Deer.” Surveillance footage of it just walking off after the assault.
You know, I wish I could make this stuff up. Really.

How now brown cow?
It’s been a rough couple of weeks for the Steeler Nation. 2 losses that shouldn’t have been, and now we find out that Ben could be out for the game against the Ravens next week, and that Charlie Batch somehow managed to break his wrist during the 1 series that he was in.

It’s been a crazy week. Been spending a lot of time with Cali before she disappears for a month and a half, hatching evil plans (including getting ideas for a guest blog on Babeled.com) and taking care of pre-Thanksgiving shenanigans.

I went over to my buddy Mike’s last night, just looking for a little R&R after shopping for Xmas decor all day. (Side note: I was the only man I saw shopping for decorations. That was freakin’ disturbing.) When I arrived, Mike was deep into an episode of Mythbusters, which is cool. And it was when either Kari or Jessi was on (I believe it was Jessi) when Mike said, “Wow. So a decision was made last night that defies all of my sensibilities.
We’re going to put up my Christmas tree this weekend.
Stop with the name calling. Stop gasping. No, I haven’t gone more insane. No, I’m not buckling to the store pressure (since they’ve had Xmas stuff out since September).
Normally I wait for the first weekend in December to put anything up. Or, rather, my first day off in December. That’s when I have a few beers, break out the Rudolph DVDs or 1940s Christmas music, turn on the gas fireplace and get busy. (This also explains why my decorating skills rapidly erode as time goes on.) I may go a tad earlier t
