:: Relaxing Weekend ::
It's been lovely having these four days off from our usual routine. The house may be a little louder and a little messier, but that doesn't bother me. It's nice having everybody around, relaxed and happy.I'm treating myself to a little play with commercial fabrics... the brighter the bett
:: Thanksgiving Gratitude ::
For the abundance of food spilling over on our counter,For eager hands to share the work,For good health, vitality and optimism on this sunny day, For the pure and simple pleasure of spending time with friends and family,For moments of crystal clear joy and peacefulness......I'm filled with gratitude.This is Sasha's first Thanksgiving and sh
A Peaceful Diversion
After school yesterday, my daughter and I went to town to run a few errands. Of course you could guess what the stores were like, this being two days before Thanksgiving and all... madness. Monday Video
I've been wanting to show you this video, it's about Kathleen Connally, an artist that lives in Pennsylvania. I think her work is simply lovely and I love how the pictures transport me to a place that feels hauntingly familiar, even though I've never been to her area of the country before. I love how she's tied her feelings about growth and development into the work she does... it gives a sense of purpose to the whole thing... some sort of meaning behind taking beautiful shots. I hope you enjoy this Walkthru as much as I did! Happy Monday!A Walkthru with Kathleen Connally from squiggleboo
Second Cuts
In photographing my quilts, lately I've been interested in "staging" them so that the whole quilt is not shown show-and-tell style, yet the viewer is able to get an idea of the flavor of the quilt. I often take many pictures of a quilt and show the one I like the best here. Today, I revisited my files and thought these second-cuts were worth showing as well. Enjoy!
