Logo as Collateral?

I’m sure I’m missing some of the legal points here, but who knew you could put a logo up as a collateral for a loan? Ford was allowed to use the logo under the terms of the agreement, but the whole thing just seems odd to me. Business is weird.

2011-2012 TV Roundup

The networks have examined their balance sheets and Nielsen numbers, bemoaned piracy and Internet viewers and made decisions about which of the 40 shows they tossed at the wall will stick around for next season. Short answer is 60% of shows the networks touted as the next big thing won’t be around.
