Tip Du Jour: If You Use LinkedIn Do This NOW
There are times when I realize that some things I do reflexively would make good tips to share. I was reminded of this by Daniel Johnson Jr., founder of New Media Cincy.
Do you use LinkedIn? the this one is for you. It’s an important thing for anyone who has built a solid network on the service. Its also very simple: Have you backed up your data?
Anyway, have no fear its really easy. Jibber Jobber has the step
Audiocasting is a Cinch!
All right then, I was just thinking it was about time for another really fun Internet tool to come along. Nothing really huge since twitter, with the possibility of the elusive Google Wave. Well my dear readers, I think that time has come.
The folks over at BlogTalk Radio debuted a new service called Cinch last Friday. It’s a lovely little social platform that allows you to post audio, text, ad pictures or any combination of them you wish. Here is an example, a test of it I just ran:
How To Fix Facebook’s New Feed
Well Facebook has trotted out it’s new Feed and I see a lot of confusion from people who can no longer see content from their friends. There is an easy fix for this.

All you have to do is click the Transparency link in my sidebar and you’ll see a full disclosure for the website and then additional case by case ones on individual posts. I always advocate transparency both in my own work and to my clients.
That said, I think that while the FTC guidelines may seem a fine idea at first I don’t believ
Are You Sick of Facebook Apps? Block ‘Em!
No offense meant to anyone who plays games on Facebook, but there are many of us who feel bombarded by the endless stream of Mafia Wars and Texas Hold ‘Em invites .
Today I’d like to share the easy way to get bothersome notifications out of your hair with only a click or two. That way if you don’t want to play you can opt out of seeing them when reading your wall. I’ll also show a quick way to block apps completely when invited.
Off The Wall: When you look at a Wall post, like the YoVille one pictured below, there is a small pull down menu in the upper left corner. See it? It says “Hide.”
