| Description: | This blog is to spotlight Events hosted by Soldiers' Angels Washington. Spotlight Event: Soldiers' Angels in Washington State and "Warrior's Angel", clinical psychologist Dr. Bridget Cantrell, PH.D., are coordinating to sponsor a free workshop on October 10, 2009 for our Armed Services (Active/Veterans), their families and those who partner in support. This workshop will cover the many issues challenging our Warriors and their families as they face deployment, re- integration/transitioning and multiple deployments, including the continuum of Combat Operational Stress (COS) vs PTSD. Tips, techniques, resources and interactive discussions will lead participants to a greater understanding/ability to deal with these issues whether it be within themselves, their family unit or in a support position. As Patti Patton Bader so aptly stated, "It takes a nation to heal a war" This workshop is our opportunity to gain a deeper understanding and connect with our care as a community.
