The world is geared towards couples, and nowhere is that more obvious than in the travel industry. Sure that ‘based on double occupancy’ thing may be helpful to them, but what about us single – or solitary – folks? Jann Arden said it best, “I’m not lonely; just alone.” That is the way I like to travel; on my own schedule and playing by my own rules. I do not want to be forced to travel with someone if I don’t have to. After all, finding a person you can travel well with is a challenge… I know married people who can live together but can’t travel together! For me, thus far, the perfect travelling companion has eluded me – but I am not going to let that stop me from hitting the road when ever I can! These are my tales…
