| Description: | Kay Bess is a veteran voice actor, haphazard singer/songwriter, and slightly tormented writer who is summoning her nerve. Although she studied theatre in the prestigious BFA acting program at USC and philosophy at UCLA (and has more units than you can shake a stick at) she has no degree to flaunt…and she’s quite all right with that. Her most beloved teachers have been her friends and her family, and her greatest lessons have come by way of unwieldy failures and missteps that have brought her to her knees. She is the daughter of an eccentric high school English teacher and a liberal progressive Baptist minister who divorced each other when she was a teen. Hence her love/hatred of writing, her propensity towards preaching/reclusion, and the impulse she fights to run away from her problems. Kay lives in Santa Barbara, California with her husband and daughter. |
