In 2001, the British Columbia provincial government passed Bill-21, censoring information related to abortion. News organizations and the public have no access to the amount of abortions being performed in their local hospitals (but details on every other surgical procedure is released), nor can they be made aware of any abortion-related deaths, complications, lobbying or advocacy. It has been censored. As Darrell Evans of the B.C. Freedom of Information and Privacy Association (FIPA) stated: “This draws an iron curtain across the subject of abortion”. What about you? About any botched abortions taking place or even with increased frequency Imagine a world where, as an evrionmentalist, you can’t know how many trees were cut down near your community, or botched c-sections in your local hospital, or kids getting ill at your local school because of some pesticides being used.
