Description: Tara on the Wander tracks the meandering mind of a thirty-something mom and wife of a fighter pilot whose life has been anything but predictable. I've never been much good at asking for help. Perhaps it is the one bit of stoic Minnesotan in me. I don't actually have much trouble accepting help -- it is just the asking part that I can't stomach. Baby J,You, my snuggle bug, are a bundle of excitement this month. You discovered the art of shrieking then razzing, the latter of which -- thankfully -- seemed to replace the former before I lost an ear drum. You get soooooo excited about the new noises you can make. Or about your new ways of moving. Or about tak

Not much more than a year ago, I was suffering through the world's longest winter in Minnesota.Sun. I needed sun. Desperately.A friend hooked three of us up on a last minute flight to Florida. Free. On a private jet. (Twist my arm. Please.) Her lawyer friend could use the company on his plane. When we met for trip planning drinks, our pilot asked only that we wear short skirts. (Which, no, but nice try.
