christian rock? how dare they!
Interesting story today in the courier mail about churches that are “inspired by the blues brothers” and run 8-hour long “christian karaoke” sessions that are becoming the “scourge of suburbia”.
If only all churches would confine their activities to 60 minutes from 10am on a Sunday morning, with flutes and pipe organs, the world would be a much nicer place………like it was back in the 60’s.

As I sit in my office and gaze out the window at the city of Launceston, two church buildings are visible in the middle distance (at least I assume they’re church buildings based on the steeples that I can see), together with myriad houses, trees, commercial buildings and the spider’s web of electrical and telecommunications cabling that link us all together.
It gets me thinking….if churches are so distinctly visible when looking across the rooftops of the city…..how is it that w

This morning while I was out walking I stopped by the local department store to pick up a couple of things.
When I got to the counter and handed over my purchases, the shop assistant said “would you like to purchase a 10 cent bag?”.
I was a little shocked to hear that what I had taken for granted for so many years, I now had to pay for. I’m as green as the next guy, but c’mon…..no bag for my shopping? I had a 20 minute walk ahead of me, and no bag?

Fantastic opportunity in March next year to spend a few days with Jonny Baker, Cheryl Lawrie, Steve Taylor and Tim Hein pondering topics such as spirituality and the imagination, intuitive leadership, forming pioneering leaders….and plenty more.
