Career…
I occasionally ask my kids what they want to be when they grow up because I like the window into their heart it gives me. The answer is, of course, different every time I ask. Last night this is how the conversation went with Amai.
Me: What would you like to be when you grow up?
Amai: Oh, mommy, I already know what I’m going to be.
Me: Really? What?
A: I’m going to be a real princess!
Me: (giggling) Really? What else do you think you might be?
A: Well, then I’ll eventually be the queen.
Too cute…

Ever wish you could stop time? That’s exactly what I’ve been hoping to do for quite a while now. I’m overwhelmed.
Kindergartners have way too much paperwork sent home with them. It’s a little much. And why do they need homework? I’m just sayin’…
I turn 33 tomorrow and really hope people remember. Usually I don’t say a word about my birthday because I want people to just remember on their own. But this year, I want to send a message out into the world: I want people to remember it’s my birthday. Send me an email. Call me. Something. Because I feel like celebrating and I’d like to know you want

From now on I probably won’t ever go it alone.
I went to see “The Time Traveler’s Wife.” I invited some friends at the very last minute, but noone could come. The movie was ok, but I ended up having a very scary night. A man came into the theater about 10 minutes late and I thought he sat down with some friends because he was talking quite loudly, saying “What did I miss? Is it good
I’m still here…
Just crazy busy.
I don’t have anything grand to report. I’m just staying really busy with our kids. This season of life has been all about purposely slowing down so I can just enjoy it all. So often I hear myself talking about how hard things are, or how tired I am, how crazy the kids can be. But I truly just love them and know that they are growing so fast. In the blink of an eye, they will be all grown up. So I am soaking in these days while they still kind of fit in my lap. Oh how I love my babies.
Slowing down. I recently took a break from MOPS. And I’ve been saying “no” to all sorts of things that could take me away from
