Taking Inventory in stretching
Posting has been sparse due to a trip to China and rehearsals for a fall show.After a few years of stretching, I find that I still experience tightness in a few spots: Left foot dorsiflexion (tight ankle and calf) Left hip flexion (tightness in quads, iliopsoas, and abs) Right shoulder (mostly extension of the humerus due to triceps) Turnout (inner hip) Unlike a regular warm-up stretching routine, I've found that opening up joints and muscles takes focus and time.  Once a muscle/tendon has opened up after years of underutilization, warming up can be done quickly.
