Clearing way for the new sound
As those of you know who have been patient enough to follow The Daily Improvisation through its fallow fall, my improvisations have developed a lot lately, spurred on by some wonderful lessons with the improviser Joy Kane.

540-550: Six week recap
A little catch up from the Daily Improvisation. My first fall thrown into a full teaching schedule with baby at home. So I think some of the explanation for the absence is self-explanatory. There’s musical developments too. My improv teacher is continuing to push me into new and different sounds, so keeping up daily practice for her is a high priority. I am also trying to rewire a bit how I think during performing, in a way that would be hard to explain, but might be described as letting emotional motivation trump the formal.
