Description:	the distracted driver texting in a commercial truck is a hot topic in the news today they want to band it. in today's hightect age we have most anything available right at the fingertip of a cell phone. with the iPhone ,blackberry and smart phone the app's are endless. in a truck you can find many electronic devices from a GPS to a laptop most help the driver to find a truck freindly route ,loads and more. the truck may also have a Qualcomm satalite message system that helps the owner of the truck to dispatch,locate and track the movement of the truck. these things are needed to run the truck and aid drivers to make the destanation more efective on both driver and company. the truck may also have entertainment tv,satilite radio and more this helps to entertain the driver in his off duty time. any distraction while driveing can lead to a disaster on the road and most drivers know this and want to return home safe . the drivers see the teens texting watching video reading books and has been almost run off the road one time are another by a 4 wheeler that has a cell phone stuck to their head . mostly the being bored has lead someone to find something to entertain them on the trip . truckers are not efected as much as the commen 4 wheel driver with all the responsabilitys of the trucker he has to stay alert at all times and this takes the boredum away for most. truely if texting being so deadly stop the phone carriers from haveing it , o'h but that's everybodys right to have it and the world would be demanding it as their rights to have it. but the trucker he has no rights and more and more the rights of truckers is being taken away by activis groups that claim the truckers to be at fualt at everything that happen in a accident and a 4 wheeler well it's ok to make these mistakes and without penalty . I say let's stop blameing truckers and find the real cause of a accident and let the blame be on the at fault driver and let the jugement by facts of the cause not by some rule that had nothing to do with the accident. it's all about lawsuits that want to get the million dollar insureance percentage . if a 4 wheel runs a truck off the road and the driver is killed they don't have the insureance to cover that and the trucker is looked at as just a bad thing that happen and the cause driver gets some fine and probation let's make ALL acountable and responsable for their actions and not try to blame a group for distracted driveing the road will be safer
