Seeking Pietas #1 - Introduction
I remember listening to a talk by John Piper several years ago where he mentioned that he was advised as a young man, along with his fellow seminary students, to find a dead mentor among the various leaders of the church in history and to be mentored by them through their writings. If you're familiar with John Piper, you may be able to work out that he chose Jonathan Edwards. Ok, turns out life in Paris is rather busy and blogging is rather hard - can't even do a proper catch-up from the summer! The long and short of it, well the short of it, is that after formacion I went on an Orientation conference for IFES InterAction workers and now I'm being one of them in Paris. It’s been one of those long breaks again – my apologies. As I’m writing this, I’m sitting in my flat in Le Pecq – a suburb to the west of Paris.
