Split Personality
I need your help.I think I have a split personality when it comes to Christmas Decor. I decorated my mantle for Christmas todayOkay, I just realized I have to tell on myself. I have already begun to put up Christmas decor. Yes, I know that is against the traditional rules. Let me explain: They say it is faux pas to put up x-mas decor before Thanksgiving, BUT Thanksgiving is the latest possible date this year, and I want to enjoy my decorations to their fullest! Also, I want to get everything just how I want it ASAP so I can really enjoy it. I figure I won't be having much company before TG, so no one has to know. But here
Grown Up Time
Saturday night we got to spend time with Mandy and Jordan as well. After Emma Grace's party, Jordan's parents stayed with the kiddos while we went out to dinner and then headed to the Razorback football game. We had such a great time! I think it the first time we have spent time with them without kiddos since EG was born :) Here is a pic of us at the game.
EG 3
This weekend Ryan and I attended Emma Grace's birthday party with her family. She belongs to my often mentioned friend Mandy. We felt so special to be invited to this since we're not technically family. We feel like we are though, since we've known all 3 of those babies since they entered this world. :) Emma Grace turns 3 this next week. We can still remember almost 3 years ago watching newborn Emma Grace at just 2 weeks old while Mandy and Jordan went out for a bite to eat. We've babysat and spent a lot of time with her over the years. She has developed into a lively, determined young lady. It is so neat to see her communicating her emotion
Babysitting with The Rose.
Last Friday we babysat Emma Grace and Abby Faith--our favorite toddlers! They are my friend Mandy's girls. We brought Rosie with us since she had been cooped up in her crate all day. EG and AF love Rosie so much. Rosie did really well. We left her outside most of the time, but when we let her in she was gentle, and stayed on the rug where we told her to stay.Ryan took a bunch of pictures of EG and Rosie. Unfortunately he only got video of AF, so I included this video below. Please notice EG's heavy breaths in the background :) I love Abby's laugh when Rosie is licking her. She loves dogs!
Amanda
My sweet friend Amanda Boyle came into town last weekend. Ryan and I went out with her and other friends to the Smoke and Barrel Tavern on Dickson Friday night. We listened to a band called Guta, who played lots of fun Reggae music. I had brunch with her and a friend, Sarah Pierson, Sunday morning at Greenhouse Grill. Yummy!Amanda is a college sorority sister. She was a bridesmaid in my wedding. She now lives in Seattle Washington and works for an art gallery and a non-profit womens' shelter coordinating volunteers. She's awesome!Guta!
