Armed and Scientific
Check out this new story, Armed and Scientific, just released by UCLA Magazine. I was recently interviewed for the “Quick Takes” series, which highlights former students and their work since graduating from UCLA. Much of the article focuses on my experiences at the Defense Department, but the author did include a brief ditty about Science Cheerleader, describing it as “a web-based media platform that… aims to make science more fun and understandable to wider audience.”

Hail Laura!
I’ve really been into user-generated content lately, so I was extremely pleased when Laura sent me this mime from Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas.  Three stars for the mime and another half star for navigating the Vegas crowds to find a piece of historical art. That being said, I’d much rather have a mime of that strange little naked man-child thing holding onto Caesar’s leg.
