Turkey Trotted on the Trail
I ran a 5K trail run this morning. I felt as though I was running faster than usual, but the clock said otherwise. Meanwhile, my sportband said I had gone a much further distance, but I know it is lying. Still, I like what my sportband says I did. I will be interested to see what my "official" time is once that is posted, and yet I know it really doesn't matter. Much. What is terrific is that the family had fun. Before Giving Thanks
I woke up way too early today. But thankfully, that meant I had time to quickly mention a free coffee promotion over on A Spectrum of Reviews that otherwise would have gone to waste, since I would have awakened pretty late in the day for all those east-coast people who could have actually benefited from it. Donation
I was really excited when I was finally old enough to donate blood. Unfortunately, my body wasn't so cooperative. I went into shock. I tried again the following year. And again. But it just wasn't working out. Thankfully, Husband doesn't have the same reaction I do, so he ends up donating whenever he can. But I've found other ways to be useful. Beauty and Exclusion
This is a beautiful wall at the Catholic church where I attended a wedding on my birthday. I love candles. During the ceremony I wished I could have taken communion to celebrate the couple, just as I wish I could have taken communion in honor of a friend during his funeral. But, I know the "rules" now. The Ballad of the BBQ Sauce
Okay, it isn't as much a ballad as a tale. And it isn't a long tale.
