You Wish You Had One of These In Your Family....
Here's my lesson for the day. When someone is an expert in child-rearing, listen to them and if you don't like what you hear, just store it in your head, say thank you and think about what they just told you but later.Sit down over a cup of coffee, away from your kids, assess and really think about what you were told. As we all know, terrible twos come quite early. Like say, at 11 months. Both our kids were like that. Ethan was no exception to the rule. In fact, he wrote the rule book. At around 18 months old or so, when he started with a tantrum, I put him in his room on his bed. I told him, "Come out when you're happy." I shut the door

It's been absolutely way too long since I've put anything into this blog. I'm not really very interesting these days, as if I really was to begin with. I can already count to 5 with just the cousins. That leaves 20.Let me go back in time to our first parent-teacher conference with MissKaren and our joy to hear, "I classify my children into flowers andbees. We have man
Conversation Starters
On a recent trip to San Diego, without kids, I brainstormed on topics of conversation that didn't revolved around my children.Topics included:- health care- Electric magnetic field around the earth is reversing, causing a gaping 'cancer' hole in the Pacific ocean.- Real estate in San Diego and people's recommendations on where to go house hunting.- Ask interesting questions about a person's profession. For example, the rehearsal dinner we went to had us sitting next to a couple who were cops out of Philadelphia... very interesting conversations with them.I was able to hold meaningful conversations and didn't seem either 1) kid-o-maniac or 2) a
