There's Something About Nemeses Of The Courtesy Lion
Like all everyone else, I purposefully angle my life for my dreams and goals. It's about accomplishing things before I hit 30 and start developing alopecia. We all have targets we want to accomplish in life. Episodes of our lives we hail as definitive milestones that will be carved with self-validation. Call them bragging rights or just the ephemeral stages of maturity.I've been seriously exhausted of late, which is a pretty legitimate cover-up for why I haven't been updating my blog religiously.I'm holding onto two jobs which I had spent the entire week alternating between with and I'm actively hunting for my third. Such is the life of an ambitious
There's Something About Taiwan: Snacks, Luxy & The Complain Queen
I'm back in Singapore savoring a cheesecake in Starbucks and looking through the papers for a job. It rained on our final day and killed alot of our plans, but Taiwan has been great, especially since it's an impromptu trip.By the way, the last picture in my previous entry is actually BBQ goose's tongue. Those feeler-like things are actually its jugular veins which are chewy as gum. The taste buds can be spotted if you look closely. It's really tasty. However, your breath will smell bad after eating despite rinsing and brushing though.Day 3 (midday)We overslept and ended waking at 2pm. Half a day in Taiwan is wasted. I decided
There's Something About Taiwan: Night Markets, Waterfalls & Dog Meat
The weather here in Taiwan is pretty inconsistent. It's autumn and the constant cold breeze warrants a frown.Thankfully though, it also means I get to parade around in my Armani jacket and Ferragamo shades without blowing my cover as an untrendy teenager. The First Day (midnight)Perhaps it was the jet lag or cabin pressure during the crappy plane ride, but Tira and I caught a serious bout of Rabid Touristic Fever upon arrival, and it got so bad that even our language ability became severely restricted.Me: "Hey, the pearl milk tea looks good!"Tira: "Try try!"
There's Something About Taiwan, Plankton And Rainy Weather
By the time you're reading this, I'll be on a plane with Tira sipping cappuccino and indulging in phone games watching big fluff of white clouds goes by.Right, if I haven't already announced, I'm going to Taiwan! Hurray. Yah, I'm very surprised too.It all started with Tira chancing upon my cousin's Taiwan trip photos on Facebook and started flipping through traveling magazines and pre-planning the trip by herself during my exams.I was rudely awoken this morning when she decided that a beautiful start of a weekend could be initiated by punching the hell out of me in the unearthly hour of 11am and energetically filling me in on her secre
There's Something About The End Of Schooling Days
Today is the first day of the rest of my life!Late nights, grey hairs and boring notes are now a thing of the past. I've got a guitar to tune, a moustache to grow and I'm presently on a mission to conquer Asia.Ironic how I always dreaded school and wanted nothing more than to get my degree and start joining the worker bee colony. Now that I need not turn up for school anymore, I'm flooded by chronic reminiscence. Not that I miss flipping through boring notes from dusk to dawn, that day will never see the light. If my principal's deep words has any beneficial actuality, that life is a journey and that graduation is but a mere denominator, then the sol
