My baby is Pai Mai and his tutelage is cruel. . .
Regularity is very Important.
So apparently a factor in Vin's refusal to sleep seems to have been having loaded bowels? He was up every 2 hours last night and EXTREMELY irritable; this ended this morning in a large and offensive diaper explosion after which he was happy as could be. I have a sneaking suspicion that this situation has been entirely prompted by formula, which we started giving more of about a month ago. He's mostly nursed and given pumped milk, but he's also hungry all the time, so when we need to get ahead of him we give him formula mixed with breastmillk or a formula bottle. It's obvious that he prefers the real milk, many times he's actually turned away from a pure formula bottle and scream

This was one of the more interesting minutes spent in the car today. I had to haul ass over to the pharmacy in Saint Louis Park to get Matt's imatrex that they decided NOT to fill two days ago when I did this exact same thing. Something is plaguing my boy. I don't know if he's fighting off the swine flu that may still be circulating around the house, if he's teething, or if he's just growing and flying through developmental milestones but he doesn't sleep. Longer than 2 hours at a stretch. We're averaging 1.5 lately. To say that I am a zombie is understating it a bit, but I am one. I can only imagine what I must look like to the outside world, but keeping up appearances just has to take a back seat right now. He is a lovely baby and he's mostly good when he's awake, but like Bubby at this same age, he **will not** stay asleep. I am wondering how much of this is good or bad for him (let alone us) since he's awake
