Hi, my name is Julia and I'm the creator and owner of the Spotted Sparrow. I'm an American living in Germany with my husband and internationally renowned Cyber Kitteh.
When I first moved to Germany in 2007, I was faced with a new culture and, more importantly, a new language. While this was daunting, I thought of it as the perfect opportunity to make a fresh start and do something I really love. So began the Spotted Sparrow - a combination of my love of paper, vintage goodies, and the environment.
The Spotted Sparrow offers handmade, eco-friendly, vintage inspired stationery. All products are made from recycled, repurposed, and/or FSC-certified paper. Each item is individually handmade in my smoke-free, cat-friendly studio. |

Trains, Planes and Automobiles
The past few days have been an absolute whirlwind! It feels both wonderful and weird to be back in the US.We arrived in Philadelphia on the day the Phillies won the baseball play-offs. Neither of us follow baseball and had no idea until we were woken up by crowds of cheering fans. After traveling 12+ hours on very little sleep, we were in no condition to party and promptly crawled back to bed. The scene outside our hotel looked something like this. Congrats Philly!

Vacation
I am off to the USA for two weeks to spend some much needed time with family and friends. No wild parties while I'm gone (at least wait 'til I'm back so I can come too!).{image from Flickr}
